Sports at Crafers Primary School
Crafers has an impressive and ongoing history in sport with involvement in a wide range of physical activities. Within the school a vibrant and inclusive Physical Education program is available across the school from Reception through to Year Seven.
The older students are given opportunities to be a part of South Australian Primary Schools Amateur Sports Association (SAPSASA) swimming, athletics, cross country competitions with other schools in the immediate district, with many Crafers students going on to represent the Hills District in State-wide competitions.
Crafers is also well represented in a range of Hills District’s teams that are involved in week long carnivals against teams from across the state. Crafers Primary is heavily involved with the SAPSASA Knockout Competitions where school teams play against other school teams needing to win to advance. The school is the current boys State Softball champions for the second year in a row and most recently our girls team became the State Hockey champions and the boys were runners up.
And then there is Pedal Prix – this is, without question, one of the most valuable experiences that your child can be involved in. Crafers currently has two vehicles that compete in the Australian Human Powered Vehicle Super Series, which consists of three six-hour races at Loxton, Victoria Park (twice) and culminates in the twenty-four race at Murray Bridge in September.
