Teaching and Learning
Continuous improvement in student learning outcomes is the prime objective of teaching and learning at Crafers Primary School. Teaching and learning seeks to promote to a high degree the Student Qualities of Love of Learning, Valuing Knowledge, Connecting with the World and Belief in One’s Self.
The underlying aspects of academic achievement, resilience, care for others, understanding one’s own learning, giving and receiving feedback and care for others are just a few examples of positive outcomes which are bound up in the Student Qualities. To achieve continued improvement in positive student learning outcomes, teachers work to improve teaching and pedagogy through extending their own learning, trialling teaching approaches, evaluating for positive learning effects and making changes which suit the need of the learners in their care.
Teachers work together to create a learning environment, which allows students to; explore their own learning styles, move out of their comfort zones and promote development of skills to solve problems in a caring and supportive learning environment. Students from Crafers Primary School are well prepared to take on the learning challenges as they move into their respective secondary schools.
